The Most Challenging Classical Guitar Measures 6".  The Space Between the Ears !

I am reminded every day why the First Discipline is the Cornerstone of Technique. Playing the open second string with an individual finger.

It's not that my mind needs reminding, it's that my fingers need reminding.

Every day is a little different when it comes to skill level, no matter how advanced and proficient you are at the Classical Guitar.

Don't be fooled into thinking that as you get better as a player, you can jump in with your daily practice routine at Phase 6 of the Fifth Discipline because Bad Habits creep back into your technique very slowly and without you even noticing.

So, every once in a while, even though you're now a Concert Artist, go back and re-visit the very first lesson you received after purchasing the Full e-Course and see how really well you learned it and how far you've drifted away from this cornerstone of technique.

If you don't, you'll have moments in your playing that fall apart to some degree and you'll wonder why.
