The Most Challenging Classical Guitar Measures 6".  The Space Between the Ears !

YOU'RE PROBABLY WONDERING ...

Why am I always insisting that Classical Guitarists have music on their stand WAY TOO EARLY ?

Well, it was for the very same reason that perhaps your first Piano Lessons as a child ( if you took them ) were without music.

Just playing consecutive white keys with their respective fingers.

Your Teacher knew not to overburden your young brain with more information than it could handle.

I'm not implying that your brain is young, I'm simply saying that Classical Guitar Technique, at least the rudiments, don't require the written note. That would create an extra step to concentrate on which would dillute the learning effect of the physical skill.

Once those physical skills are learned, played slowly and gradually to a rapid speed, then you're ready for the printed note.

The Fifth Discipline is where the written note exercises occur because now you're really ready for them.

Both Hands together on multiple strings. No not music yet.

Music should be placed on the stand only after you've learned the Fifth Discipline.
